Fiction
Kit was first published aged 10 after winning a short story competition, and hasn’t stopped writing since. Refusing to be confined to any one mode of storytelling, their work includes prose, short and feature film scripts, and stage plays. Kit has been published and produced by Flat4 Theatre, SCAB Magazine, CultureClash Theatre, Now You Know Productions, and more, and has been nominated for Best of the Net 2026. In 2024, Kit established a workshop for local fiction writers to give and receive feedback on their current works-in-progress. After a year, the group includes novelists, short-story writers, and playwrights, all committed to honing their craft through mutual support. Kit’s current focus is on the development of Abortive Attempts at Explaining Myself, which is scheduled for an R&D workshop and rehearsed reading in October 2025. Nonfiction
Covering a broad range of topics and styles, Kit’s work explores queer identity and performance. They’re interested in queering narratives and providing narratives for queer life; living as a trans person in the UK might have something to do with that. Their writing on arts and culture is founded on over a decade of professional theatre experience on- and off-stage, as well as their work in film, podcasting, and visual arts spaces. Their previous work includes personal essays, video essays, and copy. If you’d like to commission Kit for your current or upcoming projects, get in touch.
